The salary interruption had a direct impact on the country's economic level and individuals. Nearly three-quarters of public school teachers in all governorates have not received their salaries for more than three years, causing disruption to the educational process and efficiency, which also affects the readiness of schools to receive students.
Hayati Kramatie Organization has worked during the "Building Education - Building the Future" project for two consecutive academic years to find a temporary solution in securing an amount of 36,000 euros to disburse monthly cash assistance to teachers and employees working in Kairouan School and Al-Wafaa Complex.
The "Building Education - Building the Future" project aims to disburse aid to about 76 teachers and employees working in the two schools for a period of six months in each academic year separately. The funds were disbursed over three courses, and each course included two consecutive months. As a result, 1,876 male and female students at various educational levels were able to receive appropriate education, as the schools adhered to full academic time instead of the emergency schedule in force in all public schools, and the two schools completed the study plan scheduled until mid-March when the schools were suspended due to the global health situation (Covid).
However, the schools have been provided with learning materials and supplies such as stationery, cleaning materials, and inks. This is equivalent to 70% of the school's needs in general. All this came in a simple step and an attempt to ensure education continuation in Yemen.
